This Privacy Policy explains what information TiffinCloud collects and how we use it. It covers two kinds of people: you, the tiffin business owner running an account with us ("Organization"), and the people you deliver food to ("Customers"), whose details you add to TiffinCloud or who log into your branded customer portal. See our Terms of Service for how the Service itself works.
1. Information we collect
From you, as the Organization:
- Account details — name, email, phone number, password or OTP login
- Business details — your kitchen's name, menu, pricing, and delivery areas
- Billing details for your TiffinCloud subscription
About your Customers, which you or they add to TiffinCloud:
- Name, phone number, and delivery address
- Subscription, order, and payment history with your business
- Anything they submit through the portal — skipping a day, pausing, extra orders
We also collect basic usage data automatically — device and browser type, pages visited, and log data — mainly to keep the Service secure and to fix bugs.
2. How we use it
- To run the Service — the dashboard, kitchen board, reminders, and customer portal
- To send WhatsApp/SMS OTPs and the reminders you've set up (like renewal or payment nudges)
- To bill you for your TiffinCloud subscription
- To give you support when you ask for it
- To keep the Service secure and stop misuse
- To improve TiffinCloud over time
We don't use your Customers' data for our own marketing, and we don't sell anyone's data — yours or your Customers' — to anyone.
3. Who can see what
Your business data and your Customers' data are only visible to your own Organization's dashboard — another tiffin business on TiffinCloud can't see your Customers, and vice versa. A small number of TiffinCloud staff can access account data when needed for support or to keep the Service running safely.
4. Who we share it with
We work with a few outside services to run TiffinCloud, for example:
- Cloud hosting and database providers, to store and run the Service
- WhatsApp/SMS providers, to deliver OTPs and reminders
- Email delivery providers, for account and billing emails
These providers only get the data they need to do their job for us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or if TiffinCloud is ever acquired or merged with another company — in which case your data would move with the business, under the same protections described here.
5. Keeping data secure
We use standard security practices — encrypted connections, access controls, and regular reviews — to protect your data and your Customers' data. No online service can guarantee to be 100% secure, but we take this seriously and work to keep things locked down.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we'll delete or anonymize your business and Customer data within 90 days, except where we need to keep something longer for legal or accounting reasons. You can export your Customers, orders, and payment history to CSV any time from Settings before closing your account.
7. Your choices, and your Customers' choices
As the Organization, you can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing us. Because your Customers' information is added and managed by you, they should reach out to you (their tiffin provider) first to update or remove their details — and we'll help you with that request if you need us to. Either way, you're welcome to email us directly at [email protected].
8. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We don't use them for ad tracking. You can block cookies in your browser, but the dashboard and portal may not work properly without them.
9. Children
TiffinCloud accounts are for business owners aged 18 and up. We know Customers of any age might receive a tiffin, but the account itself — and the data tied to it — belongs to the Organization, not to an individual Customer, minor or otherwise.
10. Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and let you know directly if the change is significant. Continuing to use TiffinCloud after an update means you accept the revised policy.
